Service

“Please wait” means attentive hospitality

A sign asks guests to be patient and to wait at the entrance to the restaurant. Noblesse oblige. We would indeed like to offer out guests the best available table, accompany them to their table and ask them what they would like before giving them the time and space to make their choices and select from the small but nonetheless very agreeable menu.

Parlez-vous français?

French is the language of the land, so much is clear: but guests will of course be informed in English of what the enticing kitchen creations actually contain. The open-mindedness of proprietors Kareen Reichenheim and Lisbeth Strohmenger characterises the entire establishment and is thus reflected in the friendly yet unobtrusive service provided by the staff.

Far more than just croissants! Le petit-déjeuner

If you want you can enjoy a typically French breakfast of coffee and croissants or baguette with cheese. But once you see the breakfast buffet you will soon decide to sample rather more at La Clairière. Besides the classic sweet and savoury breakfast dishes there is also the possibility of consciously starting the day according to vegan, vegetarian or ayurvedic principles.

The well-deserved lunch: le déjeuner

The small midday snacks are available every day between 12 noon and 2pm at the bar. In summer, you can have a snack on the terrace while enjoying the panoramic forest view.

Pleasure at the end of the day: le dîner

Dinner features two menus: one completely vegetarian and one featuring a choice between high-quality meat, (organically-farmed or locally-caught game) or fish. You are free to create your own menu.
